Water Temperature Gauges

VDO coolant temperature gauges, 52 mm, reading 40 to 120 °C, for petrol and diesel engines in cars, bakkies, trucks and generator sets. Cockpit International gauges come in 12 V and 24 V, Cockpit Vision gauges in 12 V with spin ring or stud and bracket mounting, and the SingleViu gauge runs on 12 V or 24 V.

A water temperature gauge reads a VDO temperature sender in the 287.5 to 22.7 Ω range, fitted where the engine maker put the original sender, usually in the thermostat housing or the cylinder head. Common threads are M14x1.5, 1/8"-27 NPTF, 1/2"-14 NPTF and 5/8"-18 UNF. Sender and switch combinations drive the gauge and an overheat warning lamp from the same port.
