Temperature Sensors

VDO temperature senders for coolant, oil and transmission gauges, in 40 to 120 °C, 50 to 150 °C and 40 to 250 °C ranges. Sender-switches add a warning contact at points between 94 and 130 °C to light an overheat lamp from the same port. Temperature switches alone switch at points from 40 °C to 195 °C, and a 900 °C K-type pyrometer sender serves exhaust gas temperature gauges.

Pick the sender range to match the gauge: 120 °C coolant gauges read 287.5 to 22.7 Ω and 150 °C oil gauges read 322.8 to 18.6 Ω. Then match the thread to the port: M10x1.5, M12x1.5, M14x1.5, 1/8"-27 NPTF, 1/2"-14 NPTF and 5/8"-18 UNF are all listed. Insulated senders are for engines without a chassis earth.
